Thank you Bridget for introducing me to the world of tiny computers!
I doubt you read my blog anymore (This is stressful stuff), but I still owe you a bit of thanks. :)

When I grew up communism was a bad word!
Why should the government tell me what kind of car I drive? Where is my freedom of choice?
And this NC smoking ban, is this in public establishments? I certainly hope they aren't telling private businesses what to do. Wouldn't surprise me at this point though.

About the Young Republicans group we met
We were extremely impressed with the diversity of peoples involved. It was definitely not just a white guys party!
I was also super impressed with the gentleman running for sheriff in the upcoming election.

THIS IDEA OF 'FREE' HEALTHCARE
"Don't you worry dear friends... we will get government-run healthcare in this country. It is only a matter of time. But just remember that to most people, they view government-run healthcare (or universal healthcare) as "free" healthcare. That would be because they are government-educated fools.
The last thing that universal healthcare is going to be is free. Maybe it will be free to those 50% of Americans who don't pay income taxes. But for a lot of Americans, this grand government healthcare scheme is going to cost them a lot of money in the form of tax increases. Remember, government doesn't earn wealth it seizes wealth. So in order to provide a service like healthcare, it has to get the money to pay for it - and the more you produce, the more of that money is going to come from you.
That leads me to this poll conducted by Rasmussen ... 42% of Americans say that everyone in the United States should have "free" healthcare. So there we go. Now you understand our dilemma. This question is inherently flawed, but I think you understand what they are getting at - it might as well be a right that is outlined in our Bill of Rights ... the right to healthcare!
Interesting to note, however, that by a two-to-one margin Americans reject the idea of free healthcare if it means that they would have to change their own coverage or join a program administered by the government.
So people don't want the government to touch their own healthcare, but they believe that the government should provide it for others."

How are they gonna pay for it???
By taxing soda!
Ha I don't even drink soda, except on family movie night or if I am at a special event somewhere.

Net Book
I just made either the best ever purchase or the stupidest.
I got a macked out netbook (really good deal!!)
Something is telling me I really needed to get it now! I know for the time being it isn't really necessary, but If I wait the dollar is going to be worthless and taxes are gonna be so freaking high the price will likely double, in my thinking anyway.
Besides that I will need the internet as I am hiking around Thailand, right.
OK Ok no plans for Thailand yet, just thinking about an escape America route. They are fucking with healthcare and that scares the ever loving shit out of me!!! I am rushing out to get all my medical stuff done now instead of waiting.
back to my purchase, it is only really gonna suck if either my or my hubbies cars crap out, which is likely - hopefully they can hold out for 1 year. In exactly one year we will be out of debt if everything holds steady.
On that note we are selling all our stock and purchasing gold.
Gold won't lose value the way the dollar is going to!
No, I am not gonna melt this gold down, it is gold bars and coins.
And for any would be theives, before coming to my house and stealing my gold from me, be forewarned it isn't much. And for all you know I may have it buried in the ground so THE MAN can't find it and give it to the poor, oh wait I am poor - what an oxymoron!

budget cuts
Here is a list of the one half of one percent of the 3.4 trillion Obama has taken from you.
Read through it just a bit, I am amazed about all the department of defense cuts, makes me feel safe.

I wanna read this one now
I have never heard of this book before, but after stumbling upon it on Amazon, I really want to read it. I wanna understand just like everyone else does.

Etsy etc
In the forum I just posted a thread about "Lyberty and Tyranny" and how all should read it.
I didn't say anyone had to believe anything in it.
It is young yet but has got only positive responses.
I am waiting for it to turn ugly though. Etsy is afterall a sea of Liberals with a few conservatives sprinkled in.
Is it my imagination or is my writing ability improving?

I like todays quote (from my sidebar)
"You can't cross a sea by merely
staring into the water."
- Rabindranath Tagore
We should all try to actively cross that sea, instead of staring at it.

I finished the book
Now I need to read it again!
The wealth of knowledge is magnificent in this book! Not a single sentence wastes a thought. If one was to highlight important elements, the entire book would be yellow.
I have thoughts to post here about it, and they will be coming shortly.

I can't even read etsy forums about political stuff, these people blow my mind with their ignorance! ignorance is not meant an insult here, it just is what it is.
Ignorance is the state in which a person lacks knowledge and is unaware of something. This should not be confused with being unintelligent, as one's level of intelligence and level of education or general awareness are not the same. The word "Ignorant" is an adjective describing a person in the state of being unaware.
